When CBS revealed that Big Brother 28 would feature several returning reality TV “icons,” expectations were immediately high.
Some entered the house with huge targets because of their past success. Others came back hoping to redeem themselves after falling short. A few wanted to prove that their previous performances were not a one-time achievement.
Several weeks into the season, however, not every returning player has lived up to the hype.
Angela may be playing a stronger game than before, but she has lost some fan support along the way. Devens appears to have settled into the game well and remains a serious strategic threat. Still, Dee has quietly emerged as the reality TV icon playing the strongest overall game.

While some of the season’s biggest personalities have found themselves at the center of arguments and power struggles, Dee has taken a much more controlled approach.
She has influence without drawing too much attention.
That is often the ideal position in Big Brother. Dee has managed to stay involved in important decisions while allowing other players to become the visible faces of those moves. She has built relationships across different groups, maintained trust with key allies, and avoided becoming anyone’s main target.
Perhaps the biggest sign of her strong position is that people continue bringing her information.
In the Big Brother house, information can be more valuable than competition wins. Dee often seems aware of potential plans and shifting loyalties before many of the other houseguests fully understand what is happening.
That awareness has allowed her to stay ahead of the game without becoming consumed by paranoia.
She also appears comfortable working quietly behind the scenes. Rather than forcing every move or trying to control every conversation, Dee waits for the right moment to speak. When she does, people listen.
Her recent efforts to explore the possibility of saving Drew are another example of that influence. Even when she is not officially in power, Dee is still capable of shaping the direction of the week.
Of course, her path to the end will not be easy.
As the number of houseguests gets smaller, Dee’s position will become more noticeable. Players who currently see her as a trusted ally may eventually realize how well connected she is across the house.
Once that happens, her social game could become her biggest threat.
Devens also remains a major contender. He has strong strategic instincts, understands how quickly the game can change, and could become extremely dangerous if he gains power.
Angela cannot be ignored either. She has shown more control this season and still possesses the boldness that made her such a memorable player.
The returning cast still has plenty of time to improve, recover, or completely reshape the game.
For now, though, Dee appears to have the strongest résumé among the reality TV icons.
She has balanced strategy, relationships, and positioning without relying heavily on competition wins. In a season filled with loud personalities, major targets, and constant tension, her quieter approach may prove to be the smartest one.
The biggest moves usually get the most attention, but the best players are often the ones controlling the game without anyone realizing it.
