Big Brother 28 Week 9 is shaping up to be one of the most important rounds of the season, with new Head of Household Barrett appearing ready to make a major move.
After LaTrice was evicted Thursday night, Barrett won HOH and immediately found himself in position to change the direction of the game. Based on his late-night conversations, his current plan appears to be putting Angela, Dee and Rick Devens on the block together.
That would be a huge shift.
The Icons have controlled much of the season, but Barrett now seems willing to take a direct shot at three of their biggest players at once. Rather than nominate only one or two members of the group and risk losing his target after the Veto, Barrett has discussed putting all three up from the start.

Drew and Melody currently appear to be safe, with Barrett telling both that he does not intend to nominate them.
Taylor also seems to be in a better position than expected. Barrett has expressed concern about creating a scenario where Taylor could accidentally become the target, suggesting he would prefer to avoid putting Taylor in danger this week.
That leaves Yash as the most likely backup option.
If one of Angela, Dee or Devens wins the Power of Veto and comes off the block, Yash could become the replacement nominee. Barrett’s preferred outcome appears clear: he wants either a Vet/Icon or Yash to leave the house.
The move could also officially end any remaining trust inside the Crossovers alliance. Devens had believed Barrett might continue working with the group, but Barrett considering nominations against three of its key members tells a very different story.
There is also growing tension between Dee and Devens, while confusion over the two votes to keep LaTrice has created even more mistrust throughout the house.
Nothing is official until the nomination ceremony takes place, but if Barrett follows through with Angela, Dee and Devens, Week 9 could become the moment the power structure of Big Brother 28 finally changes.
For the first time in several weeks, the Icons may not be controlling the vote — they may be fighting just to survive it.
