There was plenty of tension inside the Big Brother 28 house yesterday as the Houseguests battled it out in the latest Power of Veto competition. With the nominations already creating uncertainty, the Veto results could have a major impact on how Week 4 plays out.
After taking over as HOH, Haley nominated Drew, Melody, and Taylor for eviction. Drew, who initially appeared to be in a relatively comfortable position following Haley’s Toolshed HOH win, suddenly found himself on the Block alongside Melody and Taylor.
Haley had assured Drew that he was being used as a pawn rather than the main target, but Drew made it clear that he wasn’t planning to simply sit back and accept that role. He told Haley that he intended to play hard and fight for the Power of Veto, regardless of whether he was considered a pawn.
Who Played in the Week 4 Veto Competition?
The six Houseguests competing for the Power of Veto yesterday were:
- Haley – HOH
- Drew – Nominee
- Melody – Nominee
- Taylor – Nominee
- Chuk – Veto player
- Mallory – Veto player
There was also some speculation surrounding the mysterious Time Capsule power, but there was no indication that it was used during the competition. Drew also continued talking about wanting to get his “lucky coin” from production, adding another layer of intrigue to the week’s events.
Taylor Wins the Power of Veto!
Taylor won the Week 4 Power of Veto!
The victory is especially significant because Taylor had been one of Haley’s primary targets. By winning the Veto, Taylor has now secured her safety from eviction and will come off the Block at the upcoming Veto Ceremony.
That leaves Haley with an important decision to make. With Taylor safe, she will need to choose a replacement nominee, and the identity of that renom could dramatically change the direction of the week.
For Drew, the result is particularly concerning. Unless Haley decides to make a major change to her plans, he could remain on the Block heading into Thursday night’s eviction.
The Poisoned-Drink Veto Competition
The Houseguests once again competed in elaborate Victorian-era costumes, with the competition centered around the poisoned-drink theme.
Helping host the competition was Morgan Pope from Big Brother 27, adding a familiar face to the latest Veto showdown.
With the competition now over, attention shifts to the discussions taking place inside the house before the Veto Ceremony.
Who Will Haley Nominate?
Before the competition, Haley had reportedly been considering Lyric as a possible replacement nominee if the Veto were used. Now that Taylor has won and is expected to come off the Block, Haley must decide whether Lyric remains the plan or whether another Houseguest becomes the target.
There is still plenty of time for the house dynamics to change before the Veto Ceremony. Conversations between Haley and the Red Corner alliance could ultimately determine who ends up sitting next to Drew and Melody.
For now, Taylor is safe, the Veto is in her hands, and the pressure is on Haley to decide who will become the replacement nominee.
The Veto Ceremony is next, followed by Thursday night’s eviction and another Block Buster showdown.
