Big Brother 28 houseguest Barrett’s Week 9 HOH did not end the way he wanted. He targeted the Icons, hoping to send one of them to the jury, but Angela became the one who left the game. Now, with Barrett’s big move already creating new enemies, Yash steps into power and immediately puts the Newbie alliance under pressure.
Dee Wants Barrett Out
The episode picks up after Angela’s eviction, and Dee is emotional about losing one of her closest allies. At the same time, she makes her feelings about Barrett very clear. After he turned against the Icons, Dee wants him gone.
Barrett admits that he wanted one of the Icons to leave, but Angela was not his preferred target. He remains confused about how Yash and Taylor voted, while Dee has no problem explaining the situation. She reveals that she spent time campaigning with Yash and Taylor while Barrett stayed in the HOH room.
Drew even describes Barrett’s HOH as the “worst HOH ever,” adding to the fallout from his failed plan.
Dee and Devens Lock In With Yash and Taylor
After surviving the eviction, Dee and Devens thank Yash and Taylor for keeping them in the game. The four players quickly strengthen their relationship and agree to work together.

For Yash and Taylor, the decision comes down largely to their lack of trust in Drew. Despite the Newbie ceasefire, they believe Drew could eventually become a bigger threat to their games. Working with Dee and Devens therefore gives them a more immediate path forward.
The decision also completely changes the balance of power in the house.
Yash Wins HOH
The houseguests then compete for the next HOH.
In the cowboy-themed competition, players must catch water using a cowboy hat and fill a trough until they can retrieve a floating apple. Because the competition uses individual times, each houseguest must beat the clock.
Taylor posts an 11:58 time, but Yash quickly takes the lead with 11:33. Melody, Devens, Dee and Drew all get their chances, but none can beat him.
Yash is the new Head of Household.
Yash’s Nominations Become Obvious
Once Yash wins HOH, his nomination options become extremely limited.
The BB Bribe prevents him from nominating Dee or Devens, while Taylor remains an ally he has little reason to target. That leaves Drew, Barrett and Melody as the obvious choices.
Yash, however, continues protecting the secret surrounding the BB Bribe. He tells the house that he shook Devens’ hand and agreed not to nominate him, allowing everyone to believe that Devens remains eligible for the block while Dee is protected.
That strategy could become dangerous if the other houseguests start connecting the dots.
Drew, Barrett and Melody Hit the Block
Yash ultimately follows through with the plan and nominates Drew, Barrett and Melody.
The nominations create an interesting situation because Yash has now targeted three players from the side that helped break up the Icons. Barrett, who controlled the previous week, suddenly finds himself fighting for survival. Drew and Melody must also scramble to protect their games.
But the week is far from over.
If one of the nominees wins the Power of Veto, Yash will have to name a replacement nominee. With Dee and Devens protected, Taylor could become the only available option, potentially forcing Yash to put one of his closest allies in danger.
Yash has taken control of Week 10, but the Power of Veto could completely change his plans.
