Big Brother 28 delivered another dramatic live eviction on Wednesday, July 23, as the house sent Rome Seymour packing in a nearly unanimous 12-1 vote, making him the second houseguest evicted this season.
The night began with three nominees—Jason, Melody, and Rome—facing off in the Block Buster competition for one last chance at safety. With Head of Household Rick Devens targeting Rome all week, the competition was his best opportunity to stay in the game.
Instead, Jason came out on top in the Block Buster, removing himself from danger and leaving Melody and Rome on the chopping block.

Emotional Exit
Before leaving, Rome shared one final emotional moment by professing his love for Lyric, capping off one of the season’s biggest showmances. After stepping outside, he was greeted by Julie Chen Moonves, who jokingly asked if she’d be invited to the wedding.
Julie then surprised Rome by revealing that the lone vote to keep him wasn’t cast by Lyric or Jason as he expected—it actually came from Taylor, leaving the evicted houseguest visibly shocked.

With Rome officially out of the game, the spotlight now shifts to the Week 3 Head of Household competition, where the remaining houseguests will battle for power.
