The first Power of Veto competition of Big Brother 28 has wrapped up, and the results could dramatically change the course of the opening week.
After winning the first Head of Household competition, Dee nominated Mallory, Taylor, and Yash for eviction. With the nominations locked in, six Houseguests competed for the season’s first Power of Veto, hoping to either secure their safety or gain influence over Week 1.
According to live feed spoilers, Mallory emerged victorious in the competition, earning the Power of Veto and the opportunity to remove herself from the nomination block if she chooses to use it during the upcoming Veto Ceremony.
Mallory’s victory now puts the spotlight back on HOH Dee, who will have to name a replacement nominee if the veto is used. That decision could reshape the house dynamics as alliances continue to form and players begin positioning themselves for the weeks ahead.
While Mallory appears poised to save herself, Taylor and Yash remain in danger. Early conversations on the live feeds suggest concern among the nominees, with the house still trying to determine who poses the biggest threat this early in the game.
Week 1 is also being played under the returning BB Blockbuster twist, meaning the road to eviction isn’t as straightforward as in previous seasons. Even after the Veto Ceremony, the nominated Houseguests will still have another opportunity to fight for their safety before the first eviction takes place.
With the first veto now decided, all eyes turn to Dee’s replacement nomination and the house’s next strategic moves. As the live feeds continue, fans can expect more alliance-building, game talk, and last-minute scrambling before the first eviction of Big Brother 28.
