For the first time in the Big Brother 28 season, the Power of Veto ceremony ended without the Veto being used — and that decision could have a major impact on how Week 5 plays out inside the house.
Kamu entered the ceremony holding the Power of Veto after winning the competition with Haley and Chuk already sitting on the Block alongside Barrett. Under normal circumstances, many fans may have expected Kamu to save one of his allies and force Head of Household LaLa to name a replacement nominee.
VOTE: Big Brother 28 Time Capsule Round 5: Who Will Win the Vote?
But after a chaotic week filled with shifting loyalties, blindsides and cracks forming inside the Red Corner group, Kamu decided not to make a move.
Big Brother 28 Week 5 Veto Ceremony Results
- Kamu did not use the Power of Veto
- LaLa did not have to name a replacement nominee
- Barrett, Chuk and Haley remain the final nominees
That means the nominations are officially locked heading into the Week 5 eviction.
Barrett currently appears to be in the safest position of the three, which leaves the real battle between Chuk and Haley.
For much of the week, Haley appeared to be the clear target. However, conversations inside the house have recently started to shift, with some Houseguests considering whether keeping Haley around for another week could actually benefit their games.
That possibility could put Chuk in serious danger.
Kamu has also been working to rebuild his position socially after the recent shake-up in the house, but repairing all of the damage may not be easy. If Chuk is evicted, Haley would remain in the game as an obvious target for future weeks — something that could make keeping her attractive to players looking for protection.
On the other hand, leaving Haley in the house comes with a major risk. She has already proven she can win competitions, and another Head of Household victory could completely change the direction of the game once again.
And if Week 4 taught us anything, it is that a player who looks doomed early in the week is not necessarily the one walking out the door on eviction night.
With the Veto ceremony complete, the lines are being drawn and the campaigning begins.
Will the House finally send Haley home, or could another vote flip put Chuk in danger instead?
