For weeks, the Icons controlled the Big Brother 28 house with very little resistance. Episode 27 showed just how quickly that control can disappear. Barrett’s nominations put Angela, Dee and Rick Devens under pressure, old alliances began to collapse, and Yash suddenly found himself holding one of the most important powers of the week.
The BB Bribe Drama Explodes
The episode picked up at the nomination ceremony, where the argument over Yash’s BB Bribe deal continued. Angela pushed Yash to admit that he had promised protection to the Icons, even demanding that he swear on his brother that he was telling the truth.
Drew then questioned Yash about his eviction vote. Yash said he voted to evict Lala, which was actually true, but Drew accused him of lying because he believed the stray vote came from Yash. The tension only grew as Angela warned Yash that she would never vote for him in jury if she believed he continued lying.

Barrett watched the chaos and began questioning whether Yash had hidden more information than he realized. Still, Barrett saw the controversy as further proof that the Icons had protected themselves too well throughout the season.
He also made one thing clear: the Crossovers were finished.
Dee and Devens Turn on Barrett
The Icons immediately focused their anger on Barrett.
Dee argued that the Crossovers had helped carry Barrett through the game and promised to come after him if she survived the week. Devens also named Barrett as his number-one target.
But the pressure also created cracks between the Icons themselves.
Dee and Devens argued over Drew and how much he knew about Barrett’s plan. Dee believed Drew had more information than he admitted, while Devens continued defending him. Their disagreement escalated until Devens told Dee to stop pushing him, although the two eventually moved on.
Devens later confronted Barrett directly and called his HOH move a mistake. Barrett saw things differently. From his perspective, the Icons had grown comfortable controlling the game and now struggled to handle being in danger themselves.
Yash Reveals Part of His Secret
Yash eventually told Taylor that his BB Bribe prevented him from nominating any of the Icons. Taylor agreed to keep the information private.
That conversation further strengthened the connection between Yash and Taylor, with Taylor making it clear that she viewed Yash as one of the few people she could still depend on.
Then came the Power of Veto draw.
Barrett selected Yash, while Angela selected Taylor. Neither chose Drew, despite earlier conversations that had given Drew reason to expect otherwise.
Drew did not take it well.
He confronted Barrett and insisted that if he had played and won, he would have kept the nominations the same. Barrett’s decision created yet another frustrated houseguest during an already messy HOH reign.
Yash Dominates BB Comics
The players then competed in BB Comics, racing down a zipline, studying comic-book images and trying to recreate the correct lineup in the fastest time.
The top three times were:
- Yash — 13:46
- Devens — 14:12
- Dee — 17:09
Yash won the Power of Veto, beating Devens by only 26 seconds.
The result immediately created more problems for the Icons. Yash revealed in the Diary Room that he planned to leave Barrett’s nominations untouched.
Dee and Devens knew they needed another plan.
The Newbies Make a Final Five Deal
Barrett and Melody decided the newer players needed to unite against the Icons.
Barrett, Melody, Drew, Taylor and Yash gathered together and agreed not to nominate or vote out one another until they removed the remaining Icons. On paper, they created a new Final Five.
But the alliance already had problems.
Drew did not trust Yash and only agreed because the deal benefited him for the moment. Yash also had no intention of staying completely loyal. Privately, he admitted that he wanted to take Drew out when the opportunity arrived.
The new alliance formed, but trust never came with it.
Devens Makes His Pitch to Yash
With the Veto ceremony approaching, Devens refused to surrender.
He tried to convince Yash to save him, first using compliments and then warning Yash that he could not truly trust anyone else in the house. Eventually, Devens turned the conversation toward Barrett and argued that Yash might benefit from working with him instead.
Devens knew the pitch faced long odds, but he promised to keep fighting.
Dee also prepared her own approach.
The Icons Come for Barrett at the Veto Meeting
The Veto ceremony quickly became another confrontation.
Angela opened with a shot at Barrett. Dee then asked Yash to use the Veto on her and warned him that Barrett and the others would eventually come after him too. She also told Barrett he would regret his nominations.
Devens followed by reminding the house that Barrett had worked closely with him since early in the season. He also claimed Barrett had wanted Yash out for much of the game.
Instead of simply campaigning for the Veto, the three nominees used much of the ceremony to put pressure on Barrett and expose his relationships.
Yash listened to everything — and then refused to use the Power of Veto.
Angela, Dee and Devens remained nominated.
Barrett wanted to weaken the Icons, and Episode 27 showed that his move had already done much more than that. The Crossovers collapsed, the Icons turned on Barrett, the Newbies formed a shaky new agreement, and even that alliance contained secret plans to betray one another.
For the first time in weeks, the Icons no longer control the game.
And now, one of them is guaranteed to face the consequences.
