The Big Brother 28 Week 7 eviction suddenly looks much less predictable. Drew, Taylor and Mallory are currently facing eviction, and while Mallory had appeared to be the most likely person to leave, a late shift inside the house has put Drew in serious danger if he fails to win the BB Block Buster.
The person driving the potential flip? Barrett.
Barrett Turns Against the Veterans
For much of the week, Dee, Devens and Angela appeared ready to send Mallory home. Drew was also willing to follow that plan despite being close to Mallory.
But Barrett wasn’t happy.
After learning that the veterans wanted Mallory evicted, Barrett began discussing doing exactly the opposite. He told Yash that he would be willing to vote Drew out over Mallory, creating the possibility of a major blindside.
VOTE: Big Brother 28 Week 7 Eviction Poll: Who Should Go Home?
Barrett has apparently become frustrated with how closely Drew continues to work with Dee, Devens and Angela, even after Dee nominated Drew earlier this week.
That may have finally convinced Barrett that keeping Drew could only strengthen the veterans’ position.
A New Majority Could Be Forming
Barrett has also discussed working with Mallory, Melody, Taylor, Yash and LaTrice going forward.
If that group sticks together, they could enter the next HOH competition with six players potentially working against Dee, Devens and Angela.
Feed discussions indicate that Mallory and Melody have shown interest in the plan, while Yash and Taylor were already looking for opportunities to weaken the veterans’ control of the game.
That makes eliminating Drew potentially much bigger than a simple Week 7 eviction. It could completely redraw the house.
Drew’s BB Block Buster Is Now Crucial
There is still one major obstacle standing in the way of the flip: the BB Block Buster.
If Drew wins the competition, he removes himself from danger and Barrett’s plan to evict him becomes impossible.
But if Drew loses?
That’s when things could get wild.
Drew vs. Mallory
If Taylor wins safety and the final nominees are Drew and Mallory, Barrett could join Yash, LaTrice, Taylor and potentially Melody in voting Drew out.
Earlier in the week, the veterans expected Mallory to leave in this scenario. That vote is no longer nearly as secure.
Drew vs. Taylor
Mallory winning the Block Buster would leave Drew against Taylor.
This scenario could also put Drew in trouble because Mallory would regain her vote and could potentially join Barrett and the others in taking the shot.
Taylor vs. Mallory
If Drew wins safety, however, the plan collapses.
The eviction would then come down to Taylor versus Mallory, and the house may return closer to its original voting lines. Earlier vote discussions had Mallory in the most danger in that matchup.
Is a Drew Blindside Really Possible?
At this point, yes.
This isn’t simply fans imagining a potential flip. Barrett has actively discussed evicting Drew and building a new group to oppose the veterans. Big Brother Network described Barrett as actively working against Drew and the veteran side after discovering they were committed to eliminating Mallory.
But nothing is guaranteed.
The BB Block Buster can completely change the nominees, and there is still time for houseguests to reconsider their votes.
For now, though, Week 7 has gone from looking like a fairly straightforward Mallory eviction to the possibility of one of the season’s biggest blindsides.
If Drew doesn’t win safety, he could be the one walking out the door.
Who do you think will be evicted — Drew, Taylor or Mallory?
