Several former Big Brother winners and houseguests are speaking out about the social dynamics inside the Big Brother 28 house, expressing concern over what they describe as unfair treatment, microaggressive behavior, and different standards being applied to certain players.
The discussion has centered around Taylor Brown and LaTrice “LaLa” Verrett, with multiple Big Brother alumni arguing that the two players have been portrayed negatively for showing emotions and frustration while other houseguests have been given more understanding.

Morgan Pope Calls Attention to Microaggressions
Season 27 houseguest Morgan Pope was among the first alumni to publicly address the situation, saying she was “deeply disturbed” by what she described as microaggressive behavior occurring during the season.
“I’ve contemplated countless times the proper direction in which to address these issues while also taking the space to manage my own feelings,” Morgan wrote on X.
She also acknowledged the difficulty of speaking on sensitive issues as a former houseguest, explaining that she wanted to be intentional with her response and that she could not always be the first person expected to address every controversy surrounding the show.
Chelsie Baham Urges Understanding
Season 26 winner Chelsie Baham also weighed in, asking fans to be patient and understanding when former Black houseguests respond to moments involving race and identity.
Chelsie explained that silence from former players should not automatically be interpreted as not caring, noting that some situations require time to process because they can feel personal rather than simply being entertainment discussion.
Her comments highlighted the emotional impact these conversations can have on former players who have experienced similar situations inside the Big Brother house.
Jun Song Defends Taylor and LaTrice
Season 4 winner Jun Song strongly criticized the way Taylor and LaTrice have been treated by some of their fellow houseguests.
Jun argued that both players have contributed significantly to the house by helping with daily responsibilities while also facing criticism for their reactions and emotions.
She claimed that Taylor and LaTrice have been unfairly labeled as “aggressive” and “angry” despite showing similar levels of frustration that other players have displayed without receiving the same criticism.
Jason De Puy Questions the Double Standard
Evicted houseguest Jason De Puy shared a more measured response, explaining that he did not believe every uncomfortable interaction automatically meant someone was intentionally acting with racism.
However, Jason said he believed it was fair to question why certain houseguests are allowed to express anger, frustration, or strong emotions without being negatively labeled, while Taylor and LaTrice appear to receive harsher judgment for similar behavior.
“Why certain people are allowed to be emotional, frustrated, loud or upset — while Lala and Taylor displaying those same emotions suddenly seems to be getting characterized very differently,” Jason wrote.
Ashley Hollis Says Taylor Is Being Villainized
Season 27 winner Ashley Hollis also shared her thoughts, saying she believes Taylor has been unfairly portrayed by the other houseguests.
Ashley stated that she believes Ta
ylor’s fellow players are “villainizing” her, adding another voice from the Big Brother community questioning the way the current season’s conflicts are being framed.
Impact on Taylor and LaTrice’s Game
Beyond the conversations happening outside the house, the controversy could have real consequences for Taylor and LaTrice inside the game.
Both players are currently facing a difficult path forward as some houseguests appear to be focusing more on their personalities and emotional reactions rather than their strategic value as allies.
In a game where social relationships are everything, being viewed negatively by the majority can quickly become a major disadvantage.
With Week 7 continuing to unfold, the debate surrounding Taylor and LaTrice has become one of the biggest discussions of Big Brother 28 — both inside the house and among former players watching from the outside.
