The Big Brother 28 Week 2 Power of Veto competition is over, and the results could have a major impact on the direction of the game.
After winning Head of Household, Rick Devens entered the week with a clear objective: weaken the opposing alliance by setting up a possible backdoor plan against Rome. To make that happen, he initially nominated Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, and Melody Morris, with Melody serving as a pawn while Rome remained the real target.

Rick Devens won the Week 2 Power of Veto, giving the current Head of Household complete control over the week.
The victory strengthens Devens’ position and keeps his original plan alive. Since he controls both the HOH and the Veto, he can decide whether to leave nominations the same or remove one of his nominees to put Rome on the block.
What Happens Next?
If Devens uses the Veto, one of the current nominees will be taken off the block and Rome is expected to become the replacement nominee, assuming Devens sticks with the plan discussed with his alliance. That would force Rome to fight for survival through the BB Blockbuster competition before the house vote.
However, Big Brother is known for last-minute strategy changes, and conversations over the next day could still influence Devens’ final decision.
With the house now split into two clear factions, the Week 2 Veto ceremony promises to be one of the biggest strategic moments of the season so far.
