Week 2 of Big Brother 28 is already shaping up to be a dramatic one. Following Ashley Trail’s unanimous eviction and Rick Devens’ Head of Household victory, attention has quickly shifted to who could become the next nominees.
Based on conversations taking place across the Live Feeds, Devens appears to have a strategy in mind—but like every week in the Big Brother house, those plans could change before the nomination ceremony.
Devens’ Original Plan
Before winning Head of Household, Devens had discussed targeting Lyric as his primary nominee, with Melody serving as a backup option. Since taking power, however, his thinking has evolved as he continues to gather information from other Houseguests.
During one conversation, Rome asked where Lyric stood in Devens’ plans. Devens explained that he had made several attempts to build a game relationship with Lyric but felt she hadn’t been forthcoming, leaving her near the top of his target list.
New Alliances Shift the Strategy
Devens has also been speaking with several other Houseguests to gauge where everyone’s loyalties lie.
LaTrice expressed interest in seeing Haley nominated, but Devens reportedly assured Haley she would be safe this week. He also indicated that he wasn’t eager to nominate either Taylor or Yash again after both spent time on the block during Week 1.
Things became even more interesting when Rome proposed an alliance with Devens that would protect himself, Lyric, and Jason. Notably absent from that proposal was Melody, prompting Devens to reconsider his options.
Soon afterward, Haley floated the idea of backdooring Rome, and Devens appeared intrigued by the possibility.
Expected Week 2 Nominees
As of the latest Live Feed discussions, Devens is expected to nominate:
- Jason
- Lyric
- Melody
The current plan appears to be presenting Melody as the primary target while secretly keeping Rome as the real objective. If one of the nominees is removed from the block through the Power of Veto or another twist, Rome is expected to be the replacement nominee.
Of course, nothing is official until the nomination ceremony takes place, and with the Power of Veto competition and the BB Blockbuster twist still to come, the Week 2 plan could change in an instant.
