Summer is upon us and you know what that means: “Big Brother 26″ is right around the corner and we can’t wait to see the new twists and turns that’s in store for the reality TV series. But first, lets find out what the ‘BB26’ schedule looks like until the finale? Keep reading on to find out everything you need to know about this season’s schedule.

CBS announced its fall schedule today, and there is a major change for its summer and fall reality TV shows: Survivor won’t premiere on the night Big Brother ends.

Survivor 47 will have a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and then move to 90-minute episodes the following week.

However, the new reality competition it’s paired with, The Summit, won’t join it on Wednesday nights until Oct. 9.

That’s the night CBS will repeat the series premiere of the New Zealand mountain-climbing competition, after giving it a sneak peak on Sept. 29. (The Amazing Race will return mid-season.)

And Big Brother 26 — which has a wildly creative and unique theme, as always — usually ends after Survivor on a Wednesday night, clearing the way for other shows. But not this year.

Back when BB26’s mid-July premiere date was announced, we wondered if that meant a shorter season. The answer, we now know, is a resounding no.

The season will actually last 89 days, concluding on Oct. 13.

That total of 89 days makes it shorter than last season’s 100 days, which was very weird because of the actors’ and writers’ strikes.

In length, BB26 will actually be closest to season one, which lasted 88 days, and season 15, which lasted 90 days.

The finale is a Sunday, and will take place from 8:30 p.m. until 10, which is an odd timeslot, and BB26 will have several of those at the end of its season.

Normal episodes of Big Brother 26 are scheduled for Sundays at 9, Wednesdays at 9, and Thursdays at 9.

But starting in late September, there are some wacky timeslots:

  • Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10:30 to 11:30 ET, but 10 to 11 PT.
  • Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10
  • Thursday, Oct. 10, at 8
  • Sunday, Oct. 13, 8:30-10 p.m. (finale)

Thankfully, those come at the end of the season, when the producers have given up and there’s no drama left, and everyone’s just waiting for Big Brother to end.
