‘Big Brother 25’ showmance report: America claims Cory is an ‘awful’ kisser

0

One of the more unlikely showmances this summer on “Big Brother 25” is the one between 27-year-old beauty America Lopez and 21-year-old nerd Cory Wurtenberger. They’ve been flirting for weeks in the hammock, in their beds and everywhere in between, but only recently they shared their first smoocheroo. Some time after that, America confessed to Mecole Hayes that Cory is an “awful” kisser and that he’s “just very tense.” But have no fear — she plans on being his “teacher” to help him “practice” throughout the rest of the summer.

The hilarious “BB25” scene was shown on the live feeds on Paramount Plus (watch below).

After America revealed the news, Mecole replied, “I see you! I’m here for the vibes, okay?”

“He is, too!” America stated as the girls giggled together.

Mecole noted, “I love this,” before asking, “Like, okay, was it a good kiss?”

“He’s awful,” America whispered matter-of-factly. “So bad.”

“Oh no!” Mecole said. “Did it get better as it got more comfortable?”

America responded that she was “telling him what to do, ’cause it was just very tense.” She then made what can only be described as fish breathing mouth movements to illustrate Cory’s kissing skills. She instructed him to “loosen up a bit, loosen up the lips.” America then told Cory they can “practice” and he responded with an “okay.”

“Practice makes perfect,” Mecole chuckled. “You’re gonna be a great teacher. I feel it, I see it all over you.”

“And he’s a great student!” America proudly fired back.

So far this season apart from Blue Kim and Jared Fields, the only other major showmance was between Matt Klotz and Reilly Smedley, but she was voted out in Week 2. Viewers of the September 10 episode saw a fun moment between Matt and Jag Bains in which they were pretending to text each other with their mic packs to set up a date, and even sent each other fake selfies. Clearly some of these contestants have been cooped up in the house a bit too long.

Some of the most famous “Big Brother” showmances of all time have been mentioned throughout this landmark 25th season, including Rachel Reilly & Brendon VillegasJordan Lloyd & Jeff Schroeder and Bayleigh Dayton & Chris “Swaggy C” Williams.

Big Brother 25’s Julie Chen Moonves claims Cameron as HOH has the possibility to bring down Cirie

0

Big Brother 25 host Julie Chen Moonves has been keeping a close eye on the game and believes Cameron Hardin’s HOH reign will lead to the downfall of Survivor icon Cirie Fields.

Cirie has dominated the game since the beginning, thanks to her uncanny ability to persuade her other houseguests into doing precisely what she wants. Cirie may be in jeopardy now that her former ally Cameron has won the season’s second Head of Household (HOH) competition.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Julie Chen was asked some questions about Cirie and she had some interesting answers that will also keep us wondering what will happen next in the house.

Entertainment Weekly asked Julie Chen whether Cirie had the game on total lockdown since all roads in the house seemed to lead back to her. She certainly seems to, but now with Cameron being HOH, if he figures that out, it’ll be curtains for her Julie Chen answered.

Also, Cameron wins yet another Head of Household. Do you think he should just go with the majority alliance again, or now make a big move and take a shot at Izzy or Felicia like he threatened to a few weeks ago? He’s going to have to cut a deal with other big players in the house like Cirie and Jared if he decides to do that. He needs coverage after his current reign as HOH is over she said.

Cirie has been the brains behind the previous few evictions. Her alliance members follow any scheme she devises. During Cameron’s previous HOH reign, she convinced Matt Klotz to overrule Jag Bains’ elimination.

If Cameron realizes that, he may seek vengeance on Cirie. As the current HOH, Cameron has the power to nominate Cirie for eviction or even backdoor her if he desires.

Big Brother 25: Julie Chen teases the ‘big announcement’ that will affect this year’s jury

0

“Big Brother 25” fans, get ready for a game-changing jury announcement in next week’s live eviction episode on Thursday, September 14 (at a new time of 8/7c). Host Julie Chen Moonves teased the news at the end of the September 7 live hour, following the eviction of Red Utley and the crowning of Cameron Hardin as the new Head of Household for week 6. “I’ll have a big announcement for the houseguests that will affect this year’s jury,” she said ominously. Remember, kids, this is “Big Brother,” where the motto is “expect the unexpected.”

Julie, aka Blue Kim‘s fellow “Denim Diva,” has hosted “Big Brother” since Season 1 in 2000. She appears in every live episode to oversee the eviction, interview the eliminated contestant and host the HOH competition (when there is one). The jury, which was first created in Season 2, consists of recent voted-out players who collectively decide which of the Final 2 houseguests should win the grand prize money.

“Big Brother 25” fans on social media are already theorizing what the big twist could be, with a popular guess being that this season’s jury will be reverted back to seven members, as it was in the early years. The more recent seasons have included a whopping nine jurors. And what if Julie drops a bombshell that America (the country, not the person) will get to have a vote on the jury?

Another strong possibility is the return of the “Battle Back” competition, where jurors compete to re-enter the game as a full-fledged player. Or perhaps, for the first time ever, Julie could be about to reveal that “Big Brother” will have a Final 3 (like “Survivor”) this year, instead of a Final 2.

My favorite suggestion by far is that there won’t be a jury house this summer, and that evicted players will live in the regular “Big Brother” house where they can see and hear everything in real time. They simply wouldn’t be eligible to play in competitions or cast votes, etc. Imagine the drama that would ensue when the person just voted out strolls right back into the house!

As of this writing, just 12 people remain in the running to win the $750,000 grand prize: America LopezBlue KimBowie JaneCameron HardinCory WurtenbergerFelicia CannonIzzy GleicherJag BainsJared FieldsMatt KlotzMecole Hayes and Cirie Fields. Who do YOU think will ultimately prevail?

Big Brother 25’s Red thinks Cameron will avenge him: ‘A lot of his choices will be based on what happened with me’

0

In the first split vote of the season, Red Utley was evicted 8-2 from “Big Brother 25” on Thursday after a topsy-turvy week that saw him have the highest of highs (his birthday celebration) and the lowest of lows (his bromantic breakup with Cameron — yes, even more so than his eviction). Jared had shrewdly turned Red against Cameron by telling him that Cam had thrown him under the bus, which wasn’t true. Red was initially safe as renom Jag was going to get the boot (again) with no power to save him this time. But that all changed when Red wanted to clear the air with Cam, prompting everyone, save Cam and Bowie, to flip.

“I kind of predicted this. My birthday week is always a rough one,” Red said in an exclusive interview with Gold Derby. “I think I have a good 360 days a year, so those five around my birthday are always, for some reason, pretty terrible. So it was sort of expected, I think.”

Red also revealed to the source that he wasn’t terribly shocked about the flip because of various convos on Wednesday and a comment from Felicia Thursday morning. She asked him if he was going to take a cupcake home with him. Yikes.

“I knew there was something going on. The morning started off weird and even the day before, there were a couple of groupings where people were talking and it looked suspicious,” he shared. “And then with the cupcake comment, it seemed very pointed. I don’t think it was a slip-up. I think I even said so. I think it surprised Bowie Jane too. I did leave the cupcake and I didn’t take it, but it wasn’t because I didn’t want to take it home. It was just because it was past its prime.”

Had Red stayed, Felicia “would’ve definitely been my next target.” He said. But as the new HOH, Cameron can avenge his fellow Chiller’s eviction, and Red believes he will. “I think a lot of his choices will be based on what happened with me, especially now that I know that what was said [by Jared] wasn’t exactly truthful,” Red says. “I’d say he would probably target Izzy, but who knows what’s gotten in his hear and what he’s being told now that I’m gone. It’ll be interesting to watch for sure, but I’m definitely rooting for my boy.”

Big Brother 25’s Red Utley clarifies why he didn’t trust America Lopez

0

Red Utley left Big Brother 25 on Thursday night. He was evicted on an 8-2 vote after believing he was safe for the week. Red was so taken aback by the results that he wasn’t even wearing a shirt when he met host Julie Chen Moonves.

Many doubts were raised about how he played the game, particularly his lack of communication with Cameron. Another peculiar part of his game was his mistrust of America Lopez.

In an interview with US Weekly, Big Brother 25’s Red Utley explains why he didn’t trust fellow houseguest America.

“Honestly, she just for whatever reason – she set off some alarms for me,” Red, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly after he was evicted during the Thursday, September 7, episode. “I just feel like when I did try to have conversations with her, the information that she gave out was very vague. And watching her with other people, she just felt sort of a bit shifty.”

During his time in the game, Red also expressed concerns about America to several of his fellow houseguests. Red stated of America in a conversation with Cameron Harding last month that was filmed on live feeds, “You just get feelings about certain people, and I’ve never had a good one about her.”

Red told Us Weekly that he had “some concerns” about the relationship between America and Cameron, who was his number one ally in the game until earlier this week when Jared informed Red that Cameron had turned on him.

“There was definitely a time when I felt like [Cameron] was playing with fire [with America] if you will, is the way that it felt to me,” Red told Us. “Especially with information going to one side of the house, you really want to keep that stuff within your circle. So, when other feelings get involved, like attraction and such like that, it’s real easy to pillow talk, if you will.”

Big Brother 25: Details on the upcoming schedule changes starting this week

0

Changes are arriving this week for the Big Brother 25 schedule with new showtimes and an extra long episode ahead as we’re still not even to the halfway mark of this extended season.

As part of Thursday night’s episode, host Julie Chen Moonves announced this coming Sunday’s episode would be shifted until 8:30/7:30c for September 10th. It’ll still be a full one-hour episode, just at a later time. But wait, starting the following week (Sept 17th), the Sunday Big Brother episodes will all shift to 10/9c for the rest of the season (or until CBS decides that was a bad idea).

Then later this week we’ll have a special two-hour Wednesday BB25 episode for the Power of Veto events and this one will feature Josh Duhamel, the host of CBS’s upcoming Buddy Games comp show. So I think we can rest assured the Houseguests will be competing in some similar sort of challenge like he’ll have on that show too.

And there’s still more changes for the Big Brother 25 schedule. Starting this Thursday (Sept 14th) the live eviction shows move to 8/7c for an earlier showtime. That should run for the rest of the season.

As an aside, Julie teased that next Thursday she would also reveal a big change for this season’s Jury which we’re expecting to start by next week (this next evictee could be the last to miss out, unless that’s also part of this unannounced change).

‘Big Brother 25’ Episode 16 Recap: Find out what happened on the night of Thursday, September 7

0

Heading into this week’s live eviction episode of “Big Brother 25,” Red Utley and Jag Bains were sitting on the chopping block after Cameron Hardin saved himself with the Power of Veto. Head of Household Jared Fields replaced Cam with Jag, with plans to send Red home.

But with so much house flipping each week, who went home on Thursday night? Below, read our minute-by-minute “Big Brother” Season 25, Episode 16 recap to find out what happened on Thursday, September 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

9:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 15th episode, Cam won the Power of Veto and saved himself from the block. Realizing Jag was more expendable than she initially thought, Cirie pushed Jared to throw Matt’s bestie, Jag, on the block, hoping it would draw him closer to her. But after noticing Red and Cam’s relationship seemed to be permanently fractured, the houseguests began to wonder if they’d be wiser to send Jag packing this week and keep Red around for numbers. These houseguests just can’t ever seem to make up their minds until the last minute. Let’s find out who goes home!

9:10 p.m. — With Jag back on the block, there’s no more super power to save him. Cam gloats about surviving the block three times and vows to save his boy Red, despite Red’s current sour feelings. Jag feels like a pawn at this point and hopes it results in making the team stronger moving forward. Cirie secretly wants Jag out because he has too much intel on her game. Later, Felicia and Izzy start to get scared about evicting Jag. Izzy is worried about what he will say about them when he walks out the door. Next we’re subjected to various scenes from the evolving Cory/America showmance. This is of zero interest to me.

9:15 p.m. — Cirie calls Legend 25 back together to make sure everything is going as planned. She tells Red he’s staying. They’re all still family and families fight. Meme thinks the meeting was premature. She knows they’re an indecisive group and wonders if they’ll actually stick to this plan. Meme asks, “Have you seen men fight before? They mend their differences quickly.” This group seems to be banking on Cam and Red feuding to the end.

9:21 p.m. — The houseguests throw a birthday party for Red. It includes breakfast in bed, party hats and a few moments of fun. Later, Red asks Jared if he’d like to sit down with him and Cam to have a conversation about how Cam threw Red under the bus. Jared immediately gets worried, knowing he exaggerated everything Cam said. Knowing that Red wants to hash things out with Cam, Jared starts to feel like Red needs to go this week. Jared tells this information to Izzy and Felicia. Felicia wants Red out of the house.

9:23 p.m. — Felicia pulls Cirie aside and feeds her the info she heard from Jared. This is tricky for Cirie because Jared knows her book of secrets, but Red and Cam are a dangerous duo. Now they have to decide who to blindside — Jag or Red? At this point both think they’re staying.

9:36 p.m. — It’s time for the live vote and eviction. Will this be the first vote of the season that’s not unanimous? Here’s how the votes shake down: Cam (Jag), Bowie Jane (Jag), Blue (Red), America (Red), Matt (Red), Cirie (Red), Izzy (Red), Cory (Red), Felicia (Red), Meme (Red). By a vote of 8-2, Red has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

9:55 p.m.. — It’s time for the HOH competition. As the outgoing HOH, Jared is not eligible to compete. In “Name That Toot,” Julie will show a collection of videos showing colored toots. She will then ask the players a series of questions about what they just saw. Answers will be True or False. If they answer correctly they remain in the game. If they are wrong they will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing after seven questions will be the new HOH. Here is the order of elimination: Bowie Jane, Matt and Cirie (Question 3), Felicia, America, Blue, Meme and Jag (Question 4), Izzy and Cory (Question 5). Cam is the new HOH! That should shake things up this week! Will he target Jag again or will his plans shift? Things should get interesting.

10:00 p.m. — Before the episode ends, Julie informs the houseguests that everyone except for Cam will be Have Nots this week and take turns sleeping in the Have Not room. They’ll have nothing but slop and cold showers all week. Have fun, houseguests!

Big Brother 25 – Jag Bains’ Family & Special Olympics speak out on Jared’s unacceptable Slur

Jag Bains' Family & Special Olympics speak out on Jared's unacceptable Slur

Jag Bains volunteers with the Special Olympics, and his family recently spoke out against his housemate Jared Fields’ use of an ableist slur. Jag, who has been in the Big Brother house for at least 40 days, has been constantly socializing with his fellow houseguests.

The Big Brother 25 houseguests rely on each other for entertainment and support because they are cut off from outside stimulation. Jag has been relying on people like Jared for his safety and stability in the game after being on the nomination list for several weeks in a row.

After Big Brother’s Jared recently used an ableist slur regarding another houseguest, Jag’s family addressed the situation on his Instagram account. “Jag is a huge advocate and ally for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities…although CBS has been silent about [Jared’s slur], we wanted to address this issue and spread awareness,” they said in a statement.

Special Olympics also shared a statement saying “The R-word has reared its ugly head again this time on CBS’s Big Brother,” “It’s that person’s right to use whatever words he wants, but it’s my right to ask him to stop using words that humiliate and mock people with intellectual differences,” the statement continues.

“There are millions of people with intellectual disabilities whose courage, kindness, and skill make the world more just and joyful. We should be imitating them, not those who use petty slurs to get a laugh,” concludes the statement from Special Olympics chairman Timothy Shriver.

What are your thoughts on Jared staying in the house after using a slur?

Tonight’s episode on ‘Big Brother 25’ will include a live eviction vote between Red and Jag

0

Tonight on ‘Big Brother 25’ at 9/8c we’re set for the latest vote and likely the second blindside of the season (but of course) — this time for a split vote. You’re not going to want to miss this one play out live. Yes, it looks like the Houseguests are on track to finally stay with a plan that wasn’t the original plan from the start of this week.

Of course the original plan this week was for Cameron Hardin to get booted, but that kinda fell apart with the Tiny Veto. Cameron got the itty-bitty medallion and dashed the big plans making it the third week he’s survived the Block. He can’t run forever though I’d imagine. But while Cam is safe it looks like his former ally Red won’t be.

So on the block this week are Red and Jag. Red thinks Jag is the target, and Jag was going to be the target. But then Izzy and Cirie and pretty much everyone else started to realized how bad of an idea it was to leave anyone in the house that is on Cameron’s side. Since Cameron is public enemy No. 1, it would make more sense to weaken him by taking out Red. And everyone can agree to go after Cameron next week, THEN Jag. So as of today, that is the majority’s plan.

There could actually be a more split vote of 6-4, but I think we will end up seeing an 8-2 IF it’s not unanimous again. Right now, it has been decided that Bowie and Cameron will not know of the plan at all. And that seems the most likely, so let’s break it down.

Votes to Evict Red: Cirie, Izzy, Felicia, Blue, Mecole, Matt, Cory, America

Votes to Evict Jag: Bowie, Cameron

This vote will likely cause a pretty big rift if people are left out. That’s going to be fun, so let’s pray that’s how it plays out.

Regardless of what the final vote count is, it sounds like Red will be meeting Julie. But that’s as of now. We know that this group flip flops like none other. But Cirie and Izzy, who are the biggest two flip-floppers, have both said they don’t want to switch back to Jag. Both agree that Red is the smarter move this week.

Big Brother 25’s Reilly speaks out on Matt Klotz showmance rumours

0

Reilly Smedley was Big Brother 25’s Head of Household in week one and the season’s second evicted cast in week two, forming several crucial friendships during her stay in the house.

Reilly rapidly formed an eight-person alliance during her reign as HoH, being especially close to Jag Bains and Matt Klotz. However, early in the season, many speculated that a showmance between her and Matt was in the works.

Following her eviction, Reilly informed Us Weekly if there was any truth to rumours about a romance between her and Matt.

“I think the world of Matt, he is so wonderful. I went into this not wanting any sort of showmance,” she said. “I wanted to focus on making it to the end without any love. But, you know, I didn’t expect to meet someone like Matt.”

What the future holds for the two is unknown but Reilly said “We’ll have to see when he gets out of the house where that goes. But right now, I can think of him as a really wonderful friend regardless.”

Reilly was eliminated unanimously from the CBS reality show on Thursday, August 17. When she realized she didn’t have enough votes to stay, she granted her closest allies permission to vote against her to avoid upsetting the opposite side of the house.

“I tried my best. I think I should have stayed,” she said. “But obviously, they’re gonna do what they have to do.”

If Reilly was still in Big Brother, do you think she and Matt would have a showmance? Comment below!
