Themes & Twists Some Legends Would Like to See on Big Brother 25

0

This week  Entertainment Weekly interviewed four-time Big Brother veteran Janelle Pierzina and season 24 winner Taylor Hale on a couple of questions and this one caught my attention.

I know many of us have been waiting for when some of the themes and twists of Big Brother 25 to be revealed however we got less than we expected from the Big Brother anniversary celebrations that happened on Wednesday.

During the interview, Entertainment Weekly asked the legends whether there were any other themes or twists that they would like to see on Big Brother.

“I would like from my original season the partner twist to be brought back because it added an element of absolute chaos and hatred. If you get rid of their partner, they’re out for blood. And it also is another dynamic because once your partner’s gone, you become less of a threat for it. So it’s easier for some of the big threats to kind of hide, right? Because there are other partners still in the game. So there are many games going on at once. It’s never been brought back. I think it should be given another reboot” said Janelle.

When Taylor was asked she said, “I’d be into that. Janelle’s had more time to think about this because she’s seen the game evolve over time. I got my one-season hit, so I’m still trying to figure out some new things to bring in here. This has been said a few times, but Heroes vs. Villains would be really fun. But maybe partner a hero and a villain from different seasons and see how that plays out. So it’s like a mix of Festie Bestie, a mix of a legends and icons, but also people that would never work together have to work together. That’d be fun to see”.

“That would be really cool” Janelle added.

As a Big Brother fan what themes and twists would you like to see?

Big Brother Legends Advice Ahead of Season 25 Premiere

0

Before the August 2 season launch, Janelle Pierzina, who participated in four seasons of Big Brother, and season 24 winner Taylor Hale spoke with Us Weekly in an interview and had some advice to give.

Big Brother’s 25th season is just four (4)days away, and two of the show’s greatest players are giving the incoming cast of houseguests some advice and insight.

According to the interview, Hale gave prospective cast members the following advice: “Don’t let people gaslight you into thinking that you’re a bad person.”

“It’s really easy — if you’re coming from a good place and you just want to play the game, which is where I was — it’s very easy to just wanna hear people if they’re telling you that you hurt them and say, ‘OK, well how can we reach a resolution?” she said.

“If people are not giving the puzzle pieces to get to a resolution, they’re gaslighting you.”

She also counseled the house guests to continue playing the game even when circumstances are difficult and they felt like they are up against a wall. Big Brother is a dream for so many people Hale said it would be “disrespectful” for those who were cast to give up just because they were in a difficult situation.

Hale urged everyone to “fight until the very end. “She also counseled the house guests to continue playing the game even when circumstances were difficult and they felt like they were up against a wall. Hale and Pierzina both expressed the desire to see a return to Big Brother’s more traditional format, in which contestants spoke directly to fans via the show’s constant live broadcasts.

“I don’t think anyone’s done that recently because everyone’s so fearful,” Pierzina said. “I think we have lost the idea that… you can still say bad things and manipulate people,” she shared. “But I think if you just went to the camera and said, ‘I know what I’m doing. I’m doing this intentionally and I’m owning this bad behavior. This is not who I actually am.’ It might not be fun to watch, but I think it would at least be respected. I just think we need to get away from tiptoeing.”

Which Hale also agreed that she’d love to see houseguests embrace a more shady way of playing but then use the cameras to inform viewers of their plans.

“How Long Will Big Brother 25 Last?” Days Confirmed

Big Brother Anniversary Celebrations

Finally, the question that everyone has been asking has been answered! Well, guess what? Big Brother is going to make history by giving us a 100-day season of Big Brother 25.

Tell me something how excited are you?

Since a CBS official stated earlier this summer that the aim of making the season longer was to keep some of the summer reality shows on the air until we get to summer, there have been rumors about this season being one of the longest ones yet for several weeks.

CBS has now finally confirmed a 100-day season of Big Brother 25 which will be airing for four months beginning on Wednesday, 2 August to Thursday, November 9 the day of the finale.

This means that CBS is confirming what Big Brother Gossip said months ago about a longer season. This also obviously means we are going to watch Big Brother for Fourteen (14) weeks.

However, the past seasons like BB18, BB20, and BB21 have been lasting for 99 days while the past few seasons have lasted for 80 days or so making Big Brother 25 the first to last for 100 days.

What are your thoughts on this major change of Big Brother lasting a whole 100 days?

A Sneak Peek Into The Big Brother 25 House

0

A house reveal with hints towards the huge twist was promised in the huge Brother 25th Anniversary Celebration special, but nothing in that promise was ever guaranteed to make sense.

With less than a week until the Big Brother 25 launch, we want more information almost immediately.

So what did we discover about season 25 in truth? Not that much. Only in the last few seconds of the program, when we get a brief glimpse of the house.

The key image for Big Brother Season 25 was released just one day before the anniversary special, and Julie Chen Moonves revealed that it contained hints about the season’s theme.

It gave off the impression that this season would include references to everything from Hollywood films to superheroes to horror.

However, according to the images that CBS shared, the house gives a different view from what Julie Chen tweeted a few days ago.

Do you think this is how the house is going to look this season or there is more?

Well, patience pays Let’s wait and see what next Wednesday has in stock for us, and also keep in mind that the 25th season of Big Brother’s will premiere on Wednesday, August 2.

Janelle Pierzina and Taylor Hale Interview on Big Brother 25 Live Feeds

0

When Big Brother Canada earlier this year stated that it was getting rid of its live feeds to something called the Digital dailies where fans could not watch Houseguests do anything in real time, this worried fans of the U.S. version of Big Brother.

Despite some concerns that the American version of Big Brother would follow suit, especially in light of some of the heated comments and actions that have quickly gone viral on social media after being filmed on the cameras, the CBS show is keeping its feeds for the next season 25.

However, when Entertainment Weekly interviewed four-time Big Brother veteran Janelle Pierzina and season 24 winner Taylor Hale, they both became extremely emotional when talking about the significance of live feeds on the program.

EW: Big Brother Canada recently got rid of their live feeds…You all have been on both sides of that, having cameras broadcast every second of your lives, and also having the opportunity as fans to watch unfiltered real-time coverage. So what do you make of that decision and whether the U.S. version should keep their live feeds up and running? Taylor, you had a big reaction, so we’ll let you go first.

Taylor: It’s no secret I was recruited for a handful of reality shows and Big Brother was among that list. Big Brother was the most enticing to me because of the live feeds. They felt like the ultimate safety net for me. Everything happens in real time. And so if I do something bad, I do something bad, and I have an opportunity to own it and apologize if necessary.

Or if something’s being manipulated, you can’t manipulate the live feeds. Other shows can completely change your character and you can have a reputation that you can’t solve coming out of the house. And that’s what I love about Big Brother. And ultimately, they were my safety net going into the house.

I can’t imagine… [starts to tear up]. I get a little emotional thinking about this. I can’t imagine what the perception of me would’ve been had I left the house within the first three weeks. I think it’s very easy to say, “There’s no way that an entire house bullied Taylor,” or “There’s no way that Taylor didn’t do something that deserved the treatment that she had.” But the live feeds proved over and over that I wasn’t doing anything to earn the hatred that I was getting.

So I’m a big, big proponent of live feeds. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Sunlight is the best disinfectant. And to me, the live feeds are the sun.

EW: Janelle, what about you? What’s your take?

Janelle: So, I can understand from a business aspect why they don’t have the feeds, absolutely, in a corporate decision because they’re dealing with some things. I mean, it’s just crazy how the fans are, and what they deal with on a daily basis is absolutely bananas. I can tell from a business standpoint why they do not have feeds and why other shows also do not have feeds because they don’t want to deal with all of that. As far as me, I’m very much like Taylor. I wouldn’t want to be edited into something that I’m not either. And I want to have the fans see the real me and see what’s really being said about me, and what I’m saying. I think all of that’s incredibly important. So I see both sides of it.

According to this interview from Entertainment Weekly, with the former houseguests what are your thoughts on the “live feeds”?

Julie Chen Discusses Her Future as Host on Big Brother 25

0

Well, we all know Julie Chen Moonves has been there from the beginning of the show, when it’s focus was more on the American vote in season 1 to Season 2 when the show changed and focused more on HoH titles and specific competitions like the veto power.

In a previous interview speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Julie made it obvious that she still enjoys working on the CBS show, and it is difficult to comprehend how she will leave.

“I like to take one season at a time. Going into season 25, I’m like, ‘I never want it to end.’ I think there would have to be a few things [to make me step away], like if I feel like the public is getting tired of me or the show is not what I want it to be. But with [executive producers] Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan leading the way, I can’t imagine it ever being something that I feel is not in alignment with me or what the show should be in my mind” she said.

So fans with just a week or so away from the show we are going to still see more of Julie Chen as the host of this season.
