Five ways ‘Big Brother 25’ winner Jag Bains made history

CBS – BB25 Winner Jag Bains

Plenty of “Big Brother” history was made Thursday night when host Julie Chen Moonves declared Jag Bains the Season 25 winner over runner-up Matt Klotz. The 25-year-old from Omak, Washington became the first Sikh contestant to win the game after becoming the first member of the community ever cast earlier this year. He took home $750,000 when the jury voted 5-2 in his favor.

Heading into the night Jag had already set the record for most Power of Veto wins in a single season, with seven, but after winning the final HOH competition (his third), he also became the biggest comp beast ever with a total tally of 10. The previous record was held by Janelle Pierzina with nine victories in Season 7.

If that wasn’t enough, Jag won the reality TV competition after being evicted unanimously on Day 30 by a vote of 10-0. When Matt used his superpower to save his fellow Minuteman, Jag returned to the game and lasted 70 more days to claim victory. He is the only houseguest to ever be evicted, return to the house and win.

All of this was done alongside Matt, his closest ally, who made his own history as the first-ever deaf houseguest. Matt received $75,000 for his second-place finish. Jurors Cameron HardinCory WurtenbergerBlue KimAmerica Lopez, and Bowie Jane voted for Jag to win, while Matt picked up two votes from Cirie Fields and Felicia Cannon. Cameron was named “America’s Favorite Houseguest” and took home $50,000.
