She had a nice run, but “Survivor” legend Cirie Fields became the 13th houseguest to exit the “Big Brother 25″ house (and fifth to join the jury) when she was evicted by a vote of 2-0 Thursday night. The 53-year old surgical director from Walterboro, South Carolina was ousted on Day 93 over Felicia Cannon. Head of Household Matt Klotz had his target on Felicia, but Jag Bains and Bowie Jane had the voting power and saw Cirie as the bigger threat to their game.
“Absolutely not,” Cirie told host Julie Chen Moonves when she was asked if she ever felt safe. “Mecole was the pawn. You never want to be in a pawn position because typically the pawn goes home and I tried to impress that on Matt, but Jag has him. I really believe that Jag feels if anything goes awry, if I mess around and win the Veto or HOH that I’m gonna be on Matt’s side. And he was right. Jag was public enemy number one and if I could get Jag out of this game, that’s exactly what I planned to do.”
Cirie came into the house as a known “Survivor” legend and playing in a secret family twist with her son, Jared Fields. Is she surprised she made it to Day 93? “I am so flabbergasted,” she admitted. “I expected to be gone week one. ‘Big Brother’ is not ‘Survivor,’ so I’m honored to have played this game. Triple honored to be here on Day 93?! A ‘Survivor’ cross-over? Not too shabby in my eyes, Julie.”
Many have wondered if Cirie thinks playing with her son helped or hurt her game. “I think it complicated it,” she admitted. “Certain moves that really weren’t good for my game, I had to do for Jared’s game. For instance, Red going home. Red and I were pretty tight. I was good with Red and I thought Red would be a good ally to take far in the game, however, he wanted a sit-down conversation with Jared and Cameron about the miscommunication about Cameron wanting Red out. That would have caused a lot of problems for Jared, so I had to ensure that Red went home.”
So what’s harder, “Survivor” or “Big Brother”? “Honestly, my ‘Survivor’ people, you know I love y’all, and we are starving, but you’re in a pressure cooker here,” she said. “There is no escaping this. There is no breaks. There are no days off. For me, ‘Big Brother’ is harder. It is super difficult. Just imagine going to work tomorrow and saying, ‘Hey, by the way, you’re not leaving for 100 days. We’ve got a bed in the back, nice backyard. Go to the cafeteria, help yourself. But you’re not leaving for 100 days and you’re going to work the entire time.”
