The wait is almost over — Big Brother is officially returning to CBS in just a few days! Season 27 is set to kick off with the houseguests already in seclusion as they prepare to begin the ultimate social and strategic competition.
CBS recently dropped new details about the upcoming season, and here’s everything you need to know.
Premiere Date & Episode Schedule
Big Brother Season 27 premieres Thursday, July 10 with a 90-minute special episode, introducing a brand-new group of houseguests. The season continues with another extended 90-minute episode on Sunday, July 13.
This summer, CBS is dialing things up by airing supersized 90-minute episodes every Wednesday night — a first for the show. Sunday and Thursday episodes will remain at their regular one-hour runtime (except for the premiere).
Longtime host Julie Chen Moonves will once again return to guide the season.
Introducing: Big Brother: Unlocked
In a new twist, CBS is launching a companion series titled Big Brother: Unlocked, set to air on select Friday nights throughout the summer.

Kicking off on Friday, July 25, the new series will spotlight three Big Brother All-Stars as they break down exclusive footage not shown on the main broadcasts. Expect never-before-seen clips, exclusive interviews, guest appearances, and behind-the-scenes access like never before.
Big Brother: Unlocked will air every other Friday, with additional episodes scheduled for August 8 and 22, and September 5, 19, and 26.
What Else to Expect
CBS has confirmed that Season 27 will feature an all-new cast of houseguests — no returning players this time around. They haven’t yet revealed the season’s official theme or full cast list.
With new faces, longer episodes, and a behind-the-scenes spin-off, Big Brother Season 27 is shaping up to be a summer TV event you won’t want to miss.
