Big Brother 27: Keanu Soto Speaks Out After His Eviction — “I Would’ve Had the Winning Resume”

The self-proclaimed “dungeon master’s game” finally ended for Keanu Soto in Week 11 of Big Brother 27. After surviving the block seven times, the eighth nomination sealed his fate, and Keanu was evicted from the house on Day 77, finishing in fifth place.

The underdog competitor’s downfall came at the hands of Head of Household Vince Panaro, a player Keanu thought he could trust. While Keanu believed Vince would finally target his showmance partner Morgan Pope, Vince instead chose to send Keanu out the door.

Following his exit, Keanu sat down with Entertainment Weekly to reflect on his gameplay, his complicated relationship with Vince, his “frenemy” bond with Rachel Reilly, and how he thinks he would’ve fared with the jury.

On Vince Choosing Morgan Over Him

Keanu admitted he was surprised by Vince’s decision not to nominate Morgan.

“Their connection was very strong as a duo,” Keanu explained. “Late in the game, Morgan made a strong case that I was the frontrunner to win because of my underdog story. That’s why Vince went for me instead of her.”

On Trusting Vince Too Many Times

Despite feeling betrayed, Keanu took accountability.

“I have to take extreme ownership for giving him so many chances,” he said. “That’s just my nature. He cried a lot, sometimes those tears may or may not have been real. But I treated him like a little brother. I couldn’t get mad — I’ve made plenty of mistakes in my life too.”

Still, Keanu believes Vince’s sincerity was limited.

“If I had to put a percentage on it, I’d say about 90% of what Vince did with me wasn’t genuine. That’s going to hurt to watch back.”

On His Frenemy Relationship With Rachel

Keanu also opened up about his fiery yet oddly affectionate dynamic with Rachel Reilly.

“The ‘Frenemies’ alliance name really captured it. Most of our arguments were one-sided — she’d say I was yelling when I was calm,” he laughed. “In jury, we picked up right where we left off. It really feels like a big-sister, little-brother relationship. I never fought with my real siblings, so this is refreshing in a weird way.”

On His Jury Chances

Had he reached the Final 2, Keanu was confident in his odds.

“The only one who might’ve given me trouble was Morgan. Our games were inverted — I fought from the bottom early, she relied on social strength before winning late. But if I made it to Final 2, that means I’d have won the last three comps, giving me 10 total wins — something no winner has ever done. That would’ve been undeniable.”

On His Biggest Regret

Keanu’s lone regret came from losing his cool too early in the season.

“When Jimmy called me a liar, I snapped and said I’d pick everyone off one by one. I thought my allies would know I wasn’t talking about them — but everyone took it literally. That moment tanked my social game and left me isolated for weeks. If I could go back, I’d handle it differently.”

Closing Thoughts

Despite the heartbreak, Keanu remains proud of his underdog story and fight to stay in the game. His exit may have ended his shot at the $750,000 prize, but fans are already calling him one of the season’s most resilient competitors.
