In the Big Brother 27 world, there are risky ideas, and then there are plans so bad that no houseguest should ever even think about them. Using the Veto on someone else when you’re sitting on the Block? That falls squarely in the second category. But this weekend on Big Brother 27, Keanu and Vince actually tried to make it happen.
Sure, Tucker pulled a similar stunt back in BB26 when he saved Angela instead of himself and then managed to win the AI Arena to secure safety. But this isn’t BB26, Tucker isn’t in the house, and Morgan is no fool.
The Setup: Keanu’s Trap
On Friday, Keanu nominated Morgan, Vince, and Mickey. Morgan fought back and won the Power of Veto, giving her the obvious chance to remove herself from danger. But Keanu and Vince hatched a wild plan: convince Morgan to save Vince instead.
Keanu dangled the promise of renominating Lauren in Vince’s place, arguing that the house could finally send her out before Jury. But his real plan was always to renom Ashley, who has stronger allies than Lauren. For Keanu, it made sense. For Morgan? Not so much.
Morgan Isn’t Buying It
On Sunday night, Keanu tried to rope Morgan into the scheme. He nudged and prodded until she laughed in his face at the sheer absurdity of the pitch. Still, Keanu pressed on, framing it as some kind of “ally swap.” Morgan walked away unconvinced.
That’s when Vince stepped in, pretending not to know about Keanu’s setup. He echoed the idea and tried to reassure Morgan, even though he knew full well it was a trap. Some ally, right?
Morgan, to her credit, sat down with her bag of M&Ms and ran through the math. It didn’t add up. If Keanu really wanted Lauren gone, he could just renom her after Morgan used the Veto on herself. Why should she take the hit? Exactly.
The Breakdown
By late Sunday, Morgan told Vince she wasn’t falling for it. She correctly flagged Keanu’s refusal to commit to nominating Lauren under any circumstances as the red flag that killed the deal. Vince still tried a desperate overnight push, but Morgan held her ground.
She later admitted she almost considered it, thinking she had the votes to survive, but ultimately decided it was too risky.
What If She Had Done It?
If Morgan had gone through with the plan, the fallout would’ve been explosive. Keanu would eventually reveal Vince’s involvement, and since Lauren knew too, the betrayal could easily have come to light. Morgan would’ve been left exposed, betrayed by one of the few allies actually trying to help him. Vince’s reputation as a weasel of a player would be sealed.
Final Take
This plan never had a real chance, and the fact that Morgan saw through it may have saved her game. For Keanu, it was a desperate swing. For Vince, it was straight-up disloyalty. And for Morgan, it was a test of trust she passed with flying colors.
What do you think? Was there any scenario where this ridiculous Veto plan could’ve worked?
