Big Brother 27: Katherine Speaks Out After Eviction, Opens Up About Rylie & Missed Opportunities

Big Brother 27 houseguest Katherine Woodman became the latest casualty of the season, leaving the house on a 7–1 vote against Ava Pearl. Speaking with EW the morning after her eviction, Katherine reflected on her showmance with Rylie Jeffries, the key players who sealed her fate, and how she hopes to move forward outside the house.

On Why She Was Evicted

Katherine admitted she was seen as a bigger threat than Ava:

“I definitely had quite a few people on a very obvious list that I would want out of the house, and Ava wasn’t really gunning for too many.”

Although she delivered a compelling eviction speech warning that Ava was too well-liked to keep around, she believes the timing was off:

“It might’ve been a great argument a week or two ago, but by then everyone had already made up their minds.”

Reaction to Rylie and Fan Backlash

Outside the house, some viewers criticized Rylie Jeffries’ behavior toward Katherine. She, however, defended him:

“I was very surprised to hear any of that was taken wrongly. I never felt that way around him or with him… I hate that I had any part in people seeing him in a negative light.”

While cautious about defining their future, Katherine said Rylie will be one of the first people she contacts:

“At the very least, I hope to talk to him very, very soon.”

Missed Opportunities and Hypotheticals

Looking back, Katherine feels her biggest regret was not convincing Lauren more strongly to keep the Veto in place. If she had survived the vote and gone on to win HOH, her target list was clear:

  • Primary noms: Morgan, Rachel, Ashley
  • Re-noms: Vince and Mickey

Her top target? “Rachel potentially would’ve been the one I’d be happiest to see leave.”

Who She Thinks Is Playing Best

Though she’s rooting for Lauren, Katherine praised Will’s social game, noting his surprising ability to juggle multiple “number ones” in and out of his alliance:

“He has Mickey and Ava completely connected to him… He’s a lot more two-faced than I thought.”

Closing Thoughts

Katherine described her eviction as the result of “a snowball of other people’s decisions” but said she felt she fought as hard as possible to stay. Now, she’s eager to reconnect with Rylie, move on from house drama, and enjoy those five celebratory margaritas she promised herself.
