Heading into the 27th episode of “Big Brother 26,” Head of Household champ Chelsie Baham and Power of Veto winner Makensy Manbeck had been debating whether or not to make a big move. Currently, Angela Murray and Kimo Apaka were both sitting on the block. But if Makensy used her Veto, then Chelsie could fill that empty spot with a bigger target, and she was torn between nominating either Leah Peters or Quinn Martin. So how did the Veto ceremony play out on Thursday night? And which houseguest was later evicted live and sent to the jury house?

Below, read our minute-by-minute “Big Brother” Season 26, Episode 27 recap/live blog to find out what happened Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 26th episode, Chelsie’s two nominees, Angela and Kimo, reacted to being put on the block yet again. While Angela and Makensy continued getting closer, Cam finally spoke (!) when he opened up about his tattoos. Later in the backyard, the classic “Otev” competition took place with Makensy making history by winning the Veto medallion in only one round. After Angela came upon a group of five (Kimo, T’Kor, Rubina, Leah and Quinn) having fun at night, she theorized they were all working together. That information rubbed Makensy and Chelsie the wrong way, and they started talking about using the Veto to backdoor either Leah or Quinn. Enough recap — let’s go!

8:03 p.m. – Surprise! Tonight Julie was missing from action while she recovers from a “mild case of Covid” and in her place as host was Jerry O’Connell. After he introduced himself to the houseguests, Jerry took us straight back to where we left off — with the veto meeting! As promised, Makensy used the Power of Veto and removed Angela from the block. Despite a last minute attempt to get her to change her mind, Quinn was nominated by Chelsie in Angela’s place.

8:08 p.m. – With the change in the game, Kimo was slightly relieved to be sitting next to “a much bigger threat to get out” in Quinn than he was sitting next to Angela. Chelsie thought the move would keep her in good “with the trio” because she put a bigger threat than Kimo up which should secure their trio is safe for another week. Quinn and Leah were the only ones torn up over the decision, knowing that Quinn’s days in the game were now numbered.

8:11 p.m. – When Quinn and Leah spoke privately it was to share their thoughts on “the logic” of leaving a block of three in the game, but Quinn knew that it meant Chelsie was playing in the middle and trying to stay in their good graces for another week. Quinn thought that in order to stay he’d need to collect the votes of Leah, Cam and Makensy and then hope that Chelsie break the tie in his favor.

8:17 p.m. – Noticing that Leah had been “M.I.A.” since the veto meeting, Angela approached her to check in. Leah explained that she heard Angela spread the rumor that she had started a new alliance with Quinn and the trio. Angela denied that she threw Leah under the bus and said that Chelsie twisted her words to pit them against each other. So Angela went to Chelsie and tried to rewrite history to say that she never told Chelsie was involved, but that maybe she was just confused. Chelsie said she doesn’t need to be involved in this and that Angela should work it out with Leah directly. So Angela went back to Leah to apologize and Leah was prepared to accept the apology in order to keep Angela on her side for future weeks.

8:28 p.m. – Believing that he had Leah and Angela’s support to keep him, Quinn approached the only other people he could possibly sway to his side. He told Makensy that the group of three is never not going to prioritize each other, but she was worried that he might target them next week. He promised he wouldn’t. Quinn offered to Cam that he’ll be comfortable going on the block in the future and that he could be good for his game to go after other people and as a pawn. In the event of a tie, Quinn knew he also needed Chelsie’s support so he promised to not put her up and that the three are targeting him so he could be a shield in that sense. He also said if he wins HOH he’ll be going after Rubina.

8:32 p.m. – Chelsie wasn’t comfortable making a decision for herself before having a conversation with Makensy. They both agreed that after their chats with Quinn they are “more conflicted” beacuse they know that he can be loyal and trust that he’s going to be targeting the remaining trio instead of them. But that being said, if they leave Quinn in the game then there’s a possible new trio in the house with Quinn, Leah and Angela aligned.

8:38 p.m. – Before their housemates cast eviction votes, the two nominees got their chance to sway their minds. Kimo wanted everyone to do what’s best for their own game and hoped that it would mean keeping him to play alongside them. Quinn underscored that he’s a superfan of the show and this has been a dream come true for him to play.

8:40 p.m. – Voting began one by one in the diary room: T’Kor voted to evict Quinn, Leah voted to evict Kimo, Angela voted to evict Kimo, Rubina voted to evict Quinn, Makensy voted to evict Quinn, and Cam voted to evict Quinn.

8:44 p.m. – By a vote of 4-2, Quinn was evicted and became the first member of the jury. That leaves us with just eight Houseguest and a month left in the season.

8:50 p.m. – In his exit interview with Jerry, Quinn said he got out of the house quick because there’s “no point” in playing up the facade of telling them it’s okay they voted him out. He also explained that he had a plan to “ball out” this season and that he “broke a lot of trust” early on and was “a liar to my core.” He didn’t feel betrayed, but said that Makensy and Cam made the “less optimal move” by leaving the core trio in the house for another week. He said that in the end he was most loyal to Leah.
