The whirlwind romance between Big Brother 27 houseguests Rylie Jeffries and Katherine Woodman has come to an abrupt end.
The couple, who made headlines early in the season for their fast-moving showmance, are now “barely speaking” — and will be forced to reunite later this month during the live finale.
Rylie, 27, and Katherine, 23, quickly became one of the most talked-about pairs inside the house. While fellow contestants largely supported their budding relationship, viewers at home reacted very differently.

Rylie, an Oklahoma bull rider, was slammed by fans for being “creepy,” “aggressive,” and even “crossing the line” with his behavior toward Katherine. At one point, he controversially declared that he and Katherine would be married outside the house “whether she liked it or not.”
The backlash grew so intense that some fans called on production to intervene to “protect” Katherine.
According to insiders, the criticism and media attention became “overwhelming” once the two returned to real life, putting a heavy strain on their relationship.
“They still haven’t seen each other in person,” a source close to the couple revealed. “They talked a little after the show, but it was weird and awkward. The response from fans was just too much, and it created a wedge. Rylie pulled away, Katherine didn’t want to push him, and now it’s basically done.”
Despite the split, both will face an awkward reunion at the live finale on Sunday, September 28.
“They’re extremely nervous about seeing each other again — and about how the audience will react,” the source added. “Rylie is focusing on bull riding, rodeos, and trying to move past the Hollywood drama.”
Finale Plans
Although many fans had hoped Rylie would skip the finale, he has reportedly agreed to attend. Katherine will also appear. Producers are expected to address Rylie’s controversial comments and give him a chance to respond to the backlash.
As is tradition, the finale will bring together all evicted houseguests, the jury, and the finalists for one last live reunion on stage.
