The fun thing about the first weeks of a Big Brother season is getting an opportunity to see people gas themselves full of hot air. Nobody actually knows if they are a good player or not, but some have already convinced themselves that they are.
Well, for starters, we should note that Monday afternoon brought in the first Veto ceremony of ‘Big Brother 26’ and it went as expected.
Lisa used the Veto on herself and Angela put up Matt as the replacement nominee, making him, Kenney and Kimo the trio who will battle live in the AI Arena on Thursday to take one of them off the block. Matt, predictably, did not take it well and had an interminable convo with Lisa to rant about Angela. He also told Lisa that people think she has a power and is working with Angela, which riled her up.
As for Matt’s block buddy and bestie, Kenney announced that Matt is “his boy” and thus he doesn’t have “the desire” to win the AI Arena and would rather throw it to Matt. This blew Angela’s mind — she literally said her mind went boom — and she (correctly) told Kenney that Matt is not his son and he needs to play his own game.

“You’re telling me you have no desire to fight in the arena for your life in this game because you don’t wanna go and beat him?” she said. “That’s what I’m hearing. I’m sorry, at the end of the day, this is you fighting for your life every day in this game.”
“It’s a game. It’s not my life,” Kenney responded.
“Your life in this game is what I’m saying,” Angela stressed.
“I hear ya. But this is just a part of me that I just have a hard time doing it,” he said. “Who knows? That bell might go off, that alarm might go and I might black it all out.”
What are the chances Kenney is saying all this so Matt develops a false sense of security and doesn’t try as hard in the comp? Low probably. But if Kenney really cares about Matt staying, he better hope Matt wins the AI Arena because he’s likely to be the first evictee if he’s in one of the two chairs. If Kenney and Kimo are the final noms, the house might just send Kenney home since he’s not in it to win it. Kimo, meanwhile, is just chilling and will be safe if he stays under the radar the rest of the week.
