The Big Brother 28 house has barely recovered from Thursday night’s Double Eviction, but another eviction is already looming. The latest twist, dubbed the Pharaoh’s Curse, has sent the Final 5 into confusion — and the houseguests are now expecting someone to leave the game within just a few days.
The twist was revealed shortly after the Double Eviction, when the houseguests learned that a mysterious curse had been activated. Buttons had been placed around the house, with the player who activated the curse receiving $10,000. Current feed reports indicate that Devens appears to have been the houseguest who pushed the button, although the others do not seem to know for certain.
A Fast-Forward to the Final 4
The Pharaoh’s Curse appears to be functioning as a fast-forward round, compressing the Final 5-to-Final 4 stage into just a few days. The houseguests were told that someone would be evicted in three days, leading them to expect an unusual weekend eviction.
The twist has created plenty of uncertainty because the houseguests initially weren’t even sure whether there would be nominations. They expected an HOH competition and possibly a Veto competition, but the exact format of the eviction remained unclear.
Devens Takes Power
Following the Double Eviction, the Final 5 competed in the Tiny HOH competition, with Devens emerging as the new HOH. Melody was unable to compete because she had just held the previous HOH.
Devens subsequently nominated Drew and Melody, putting two important players in danger.
Drew has been campaigning hard to stay, telling Devens that he would even throw the Veto if it meant keeping the nominations unchanged. Devens has indicated that he wants Drew to remain in the game, while Melody has been trying to convince Devens that she deserves a place in the Final 4.
The Veto Could Change Everything
The next major event is expected to be the Power of Veto competition on Saturday. If the Veto is used, the nomination situation could change again, making the final eviction decision even more complicated.
That has left the remaining houseguests trying to figure out exactly how the Pharaoh’s Curse will work.
With only five players left, there is nowhere to hide. Devens, Dee, Drew, Melody and Taylor are now fighting for the four remaining spots.
Who Will Be the Final 4?
The biggest question surrounding the Pharaoh’s Curse is whether the current nominations will ultimately determine the next eviction — or whether the unusual twist will produce another surprise.
One thing is certain: the Final 5 is about to become the Final 4.
Will Drew survive? Will Melody’s game come to an end? Or could the Veto completely change the picture?
