Lyric Medeiros and Rome Seymour may both be out of the Big Brother 28 house, but their relationship appears to be far from over.
After weeks of blindsides, shifting alliances and back-to-back evictions, the pair are reportedly back in communication and are already making plans to reconnect in person following Lyric’s exit from the game.
According to a report from The U.S. Sun, Lyric and Rome began talking again as soon as Lyric regained access to her phone following her eviction. The two are now reportedly planning to meet despite the huge distance between them, with Lyric based in Hawaii and Rome living in Florida.

A source told the outlet that the two already have plans to see each other, while Rome is reportedly eager to introduce Lyric to his family and friends. He is also said to be planning a future trip to Hawaii to meet her family.
The source went even further, claiming Rome has been talking about a possible future proposal and has already shared those feelings with people close to him.
Whether things move that quickly remains to be seen, but one thing appears clear: neither Rome nor Lyric is treating their Big Brother connection as something that ended when they walked out of the house.
Fans may also get to follow the relationship closely. The pair reportedly plan to share their relationship on social media rather than keeping their post-show romance private.
From Showmance to the Outside World
Rome and Lyric grew close early in the season, and their connection quickly became one of the most noticeable showmances in the house. Viewers regularly saw the two spending time together, sharing affectionate moments and discussing the game.
But their relationship was eventually tested by the competition.
Rome became one of the season’s early casualties when he was blindsided and evicted during Week 2. Making the moment even more dramatic, Lyric ultimately voted with the house to evict him, choosing her position in the game over protecting her showmance partner.
Lyric’s own game ended only two weeks later.
After finding herself on the block against Melody, Lyric was blindsided when houseguests turned the vote against her, sending her out during the Week 4 eviction.
Despite everything that happened inside the house, Lyric made her feelings about Rome very clear during her post-eviction interview with Julie Chen Moonves. She said she was still “in love” with him and couldn’t wait to see him.
Now, with both of them outside the Big Brother house, their first post-show reunion is reportedly being planned.
The game may be over for Lyric and Rome, but the next chapter of their relationship could be just beginning.
