Rick Devens has added another major advantage to his growing résumé in Big Brother 28, winning the second Time Capsule vote and walking away with one of the most powerful game advantages the show has seen in years.
America voted Devens to compete in the Round 2 Time Capsule challenge, and he made the most of the opportunity by winning the challenge and claiming the coveted Diamond Power of Veto.
Devens Wins Round 2 Time Capsule
The fan vote once again determined which houseguest would receive a chance to enter the Time Capsule. Based on viewer support throughout the week, Devens emerged as the clear favourite and earned his shot at the special challenge.
His victory rewarded him with the Diamond Power of Veto, a game-changing advantage that remains active for the next six weeks.
The power allows Devens to override the Head of Household’s replacement nominee during a veto ceremony and personally choose who goes on the block instead, giving him enormous influence over future evictions.
Devens Already Has a Plan
Despite the temptation to make a huge strategic move, Devens appears to be thinking long-term.
After winning the power, he privately told Dee that he intends to use it only to protect himself or her if either of them is ever in danger. The two also agreed to keep the advantage a secret from the rest of the house, including Angela, Drew and their other housemates.
Keeping the Diamond Power of Veto hidden could prove just as valuable as the power itself, allowing Devens to hold a game-changing advantage without becoming an immediate target.
With Week 3 already underway and the Power of Veto competition still to come, Devens now holds one of the biggest trump cards in the game—and the rest of the house has no idea.
