The wait is finally over. CBS has officially unveiled the houseguests competing on Big Brother 28, and this year’s cast is already one of the most unique in recent memory. From a rocket scientist and competitive attorney to a professional drag performer, MMA coach, bartender, and pickleball coach, the new season promises a wide range of personalities ready to battle for the $750,000 grand prize.
This year’s “Time Trip” theme has already generated plenty of excitement, and producers have confirmed that the cast isn’t quite complete. Mystery houseguests are still expected to enter the game during the premiere, adding another layer of unpredictability.
Here’s a closer look at the players entering the Big Brother house.
Ashley Trail
Age: 24
Occupation: Bartender
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois

Ashley thrives in social settings thanks to years behind the bar, where reading people quickly is part of the job. Friendly, outgoing and confident, she’ll likely rely on her ability to build relationships early while keeping bigger strategic plans under wraps. If she balances her social game with competition wins, she could become an early favorite.
Barrett Pfeiffer
Age: 27
Occupation: Jumbotron Engineer
Hometown: Austin, Texas

Working behind the scenes at major sporting events has taught Barrett how to stay calm under pressure. His technical background suggests he’s a logical thinker who may approach the game analytically rather than emotionally. His biggest challenge could be avoiding the label of “mastermind” too early.
Chuk Anyanwu
Age: 27
Occupation: Supply Chain Analyst
Hometown: Houston, Texas

As a supply chain analyst, Chuk spends his career solving problems and making calculated decisions. Those skills could translate well into strategy, alliance management and planning several moves ahead. If he keeps a low profile initially, he could quietly become one of the season’s strongest strategic players.
Drew Campbell
Age: 22
Occupation: Dental Surgery Assistant
Hometown: Gainesville, Florida

One of the youngest players this season, Drew enters the house with youthful energy and a caring personality developed through healthcare. He’ll need to prove he’s more than just the “nice guy” if he wants to survive against older, more experienced competitors.
Haley Thogmartin
Age: 29
Occupation: Telemedicine Executive
Hometown: Seattle, Washington

Haley combines corporate leadership with strong communication skills. Her experience working in healthcare management suggests she’ll be comfortable making difficult decisions and leading alliances. Whether that leadership is viewed as confidence or control will likely determine her longevity.
Jason De Puy
Age: 35
Occupation: Professional Drag Performer

Many reality TV fans may recognize Jason from RuPaul’s Drag Race, where he competed under the stage name Salina EsTitties. He’s already accustomed to performing under pressure, handling criticism and entertaining audiences. His charisma could make him one of the most memorable personalities of the summer—but also an obvious social threat.
Kamu Kirk
Age: 32
Occupation: MMA Coach

Kamu enters the house with an athletic background and competitive mindset. As an MMA coach, he’s used to discipline, preparation and performing under pressure. He could become a formidable competition beast, though he’ll need to avoid appearing too physically dominant too soon.
LaTrice Verrett
Age: 57
Occupation: Boutique Salesperson

LaTrice immediately stands out as one of the oldest contestants this season. She hopes to prove that life experience can be just as valuable as athletic ability. Her maturity, communication skills and emotional intelligence could help her build strong relationships across multiple alliances.
Lyric Medeiros
Age: 25
Occupation: Competitive Attorney
Hometown: Hawaii

Lyric has built her career around persuasion, preparation and thinking on her feet. She also comes from a well-known family as the daughter of singer Glenn Medeiros. Her legal background suggests she’ll be a strategic player capable of negotiating alliances while staying composed during confrontations.
Mallory Aurichio
Age: 24
Occupation: Rocket Scientist

Rocket scientists don’t appear on Big Brother every season. Mallory’s intelligence and problem-solving abilities immediately make her one of the cast’s most intriguing players. While she’ll likely excel at puzzles and mental competitions, she’ll have to convince fellow houseguests that she’s not too smart to keep around.
Melody Morris
Age: 24
Occupation: Corporate Game Show Host

Melody already knows how to entertain audiences and keep conversations flowing. Her outgoing personality could help her become the center of social alliances, but she’ll also need to avoid becoming the obvious face of any large alliance too early in the game.
Rome Seymoure
Age: 28
Occupation: Pickleball Coach

Competitive sports have prepared Rome for pressure situations and teamwork. His athleticism may make him dangerous in physical competitions, while coaching experience suggests he knows how to motivate and influence others.
Taylor Brown
Age: 27
Occupation: Elementary School Counselor

Taylor’s profession revolves around listening, conflict resolution and understanding people—qualities that often translate well inside the Big Brother house. If she can remain underestimated while building genuine relationships, she may become one of the season’s strongest social players.
Yash Patel
Age: 24
Occupation: Financial Analyst

Numbers, risk assessment and strategic thinking define Yash’s professional life. Those same skills could help him carefully calculate every move inside the house. His challenge will be balancing strategy with strong personal relationships, as Big Brother isn’t won by numbers alone.
Two of the season’s mystery houseguests have also been revealed. Fan-favorite Rick Devens, known for competing on Survivor: Edge of Extinction and later returning for Survivor 50, has entered the Big Brother house. Joining him is Angela Murray, who returns after her memorable and unpredictable run on Big Brother 26, where she finished in sixth place.

Reality TV: Survivor castaway
