From Big Brother Backlash To Bravo? Aaryn Gries Rumored For New Series

Rumors are swirling that one of Big Brother’s most controversial former contestants, Aaryn Gries, could be making a return to reality television. While fans continue waiting for Season 28 of the long-running CBS series, reports suggest Gries may appear in Bravo’s upcoming series Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives.

Speculation began after former Big Brother Season 21 contestant Kat Dunn shared details about the show in a now-deleted social media post. Dunn claimed Bravo originally filmed a pilot with her and her friends in Dallas before ultimately choosing a different group based in Boerne, Texas. She also alleged that Gries was part of the cast, though she later clarified she needed to confirm whether she was allowed to discuss the project publicly due to a possible NDA.

If the rumor proves true, it would mark a surprising return to television for Gries, whose time on Big Brother Season 15 remains one of the most controversial chapters in the show’s history. The season was heavily criticized for offensive behavior and racist remarks made by several contestants, with Gries receiving particularly intense backlash. Host Julie Chen Moonves publicly addressed the controversy during an appearance on The Talk, specifically condemning comments Gries made about Asians.

The fallout from the season extended beyond the show itself. Reports later revealed Gries lost her modeling contract following the backlash. She later issued a public apology and said she hoped to learn from the experience.

Since then, Gries — now known as Aaryn Williams after getting married — has built a large following online as a lifestyle and family content creator. She is now a mother of four and has developed a strong social media presence, potentially opening the door for another reality TV opportunity.

According to Bravo’s description, Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives will focus on a group of women living in Boerne, Texas, balancing family life, ranch living, and relationships within their close-knit community. As expected from a Bravo reality series, drama is also expected to play a major role.

If Gries officially joins the cast, many fans are already wondering whether the show will address her controversial past. In recent years, Big Brother has adopted a stricter zero-tolerance approach toward racist behavior, with contestants facing expulsion for conduct that once only sparked controversy.
