Amy Bingham is setting the record straight about her Week 2 eviction from Big Brother 27, revealing that the seeds of her downfall were sown even before the live feeds began rolling.
In an exclusive interview with The Post, the 43-year-old insurance agent explained how her early alliance with Rachel Reilly painted a target on her back — long before the now-infamous “Showergate” incident.
“What people didn’t see were the days before the live feeds turned on — from Tuesday to Sunday,” Bingham shared. “Right away, people were warning me, saying, ‘You’re making yourself a target by being close with Rachel. You’ve got to distance yourself. They want her out.’”
Despite the warnings, Bingham chose to remain loyal to her friend.
“I couldn’t help it. I was still going to be friends with her,” she said. “I knew that put a target on me since they couldn’t go after her directly because she had safety that week.”
While many assumed Showergate was the catalyst for her nomination, Bingham clarified that the real issues started earlier — and it wasn’t Rachel who sealed her fate.
“Rachel is absolutely not the reason I went home,” she stated. “I’m the reason I went home — because of a stupid conversation I had with Vinny.”
A Costly Conversation
According to Bingham, it was her private chat with Vince Panaro that truly triggered her eviction. During that conversation, she expressed distrust toward fellow Houseguest Jimmy Heagerty — a move that backfired badly.
“I told Vince I didn’t trust Jimmy. I said, ‘He’s a lying snake,’ because he is — and I knew it on Day 2,” she said. “I was just hoping people would see it, but telling Vince was a dumb move. He reminded me of my brother, so there was this familiarity. But that was my downfall.”

The fallout was swift. Jimmy caught wind of her comments, and according to Amy, that led to a personal vendetta that eventually put her on the chopping block.
“Jimmy got petty and wanted me up as a renom,” she explained. “Strategically, it wasn’t even the best move for his game, but he wanted me gone.”
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Bingham also acknowledged that timing and game dynamics worked against her. With Keanu Soto and Kelley Jorgensen both winning powers to save themselves that week, the options for eviction were limited.
“It was just bad luck,” she admitted. “This might sound crazy, but I was praying two days before I left the house. I had a dream I was talking to Julie [Chen Moonves], and I woke up thinking, ‘I’m going home. This is my sign.’”
After failing to win the Blockbuster competition, Amy said she knew her fate was sealed.
“I knew I was going out the door if I didn’t win the Blockbuster,” she said. “Once I lost, it was already a done deal.”
As for her parting words to Jimmy, Bingham has no regrets.
“I stand by calling him a snake on my way out,” she said confidently. “At that point, I had nothing to lose.”
