Big Brother 27 Live Feeds: Did Jimmy’s HOH Reign Miss the Mark?

Being Head of Household is never easy, and for Jimmy, Week 2 of Big Brother 27 proved to be even trickier than most. What started as a straightforward plan to eliminate a major threat quickly spiraled into a complex week full of powers, surprise wins, and controversial nominations.

The Twist: Three New Powers Enter the Game

Jimmy’s HOH week was complicated right from the start when three special powers were introduced into the game on Thursday.

  • Keanu activated the first power during the Power of Veto (PoV) Competition, allowing Big Brother 20 winner Kaycee to compete in his place. Kaycee won, and Keanu used the Veto to save himself.

  • Kelley, in turn, used her own power during the PoV Ceremony. This granted her a shot at a solo Veto competition—which she won—and she used it to save herself from the block.

  • As a result of these two Veto uses, Jimmy was forced to name two replacement nominees: Amy (replacing Keanu) and Will (replacing Kelley).

So far, only Morgan knows the identity of the third power holder—Mickey—who hasn’t yet revealed or used his advantage.

The Nomination Fallout

Jimmy’s original goal was simple: target big threats and reduce the number of powers in play. While he succeeded in flushing out two of the three powers, it came at a cost. By the end of the week, he had to nominate a total of five different houseguests—a far more complicated HOH run than expected.

His final nominees heading into the BB Blockbuster competition are: Will, Amy, and Adrian. Only one will win safety, leaving the other two vulnerable to eviction.

Jimmy had hoped to protect Adrian as a pawn, but now there’s a real chance he could be evicted if he doesn’t win the Blockbuster. This adds to the growing concern that Jimmy may not be controlling the week as effectively as he hoped.

A Safe Strategy or a Missed Opportunity?

Some believe Jimmy played it smart. By nominating non-threatening houseguests like Amy and Will, he avoided stirring up the house or making enemies too early in the game. Amy was already a target due to her close ties with Rachel, and Will hasn’t been seen as a major competition threat.

However, others see this as a missed opportunity. Instead of taking a big swing at a stronger player like Keanu or Kelley, Jimmy opted for safer moves—which might backfire later.

Most notably, his decisions have left several key houseguests unhappy. Morgan, Mickey, Ashley, and Rachel are reportedly frustrated with his final nominations. Their discontent could cost him critical allies in the coming weeks.

Did Jimmy Help or Hurt His Game?

Jimmy’s week as HOH had moments of strategic clarity, but the powers in play and his conservative choices may have done more harm than good. Rather than making a bold move to define his game, he played cautiously—and in Big Brother, that can be just as dangerous.

Now, with Adrian’s safety in question and several houseguests upset, Jimmy’s game is potentially on shaky ground moving forward. Whether this HOH reign sets him up for success or puts a target on his back will all depend on what happens next.
