Julie Chen Moonves has seen her fair share of surprises on Big Brother, but even she was caught off guard by one of the twists in the upcoming 27th season.
In a July 3 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the longtime CBS host teased a major twist involving a mystery houseguest checking into the newly themed Hotel Mystère—and she revealed that their identity truly shocked her.
“When I found out who the mystery houseguest was, I had to expect the unexpected—because I never would’ve guessed it,” Moonves said. “I was genuinely excited. I think getting this person on the show is a huge win. They’re definitely a polarizing figure, so fans will likely have strong feelings—on both ends.”
But that’s not all.
Moonves also dropped a few more hints about what’s coming this season. She revealed that the mystery houseguest won’t be working alone—they’ll have a “secret accomplice” in the game. And to stir the pot even further, a “masked visitor” will make appearances, shaking things up in unexpected ways.
“This masked visitor is going to wreak havoc like nothing we’ve ever seen before,” Moonves teased. “And not just surface-level disruption. It’s going to cut much deeper.”
Her revelations have sparked intense speculation among fans, who are already trying to guess the identity of the mystery houseguest and what kind of chaos the masked figure might bring to the house.
With all these twists on the horizon, Big Brother 27 is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable seasons yet.
